Frosted Crumbs is a new bakery that’s now been open for just three weeks. This is a family-owned business operated by Bridget Jeziorowski, Joey Lecroy, and Carol, Arthur, and Josh Cohen,. They specialize in gourmet cupcakes, as well as wedding, birthday, and other specialty cakes. Now, I know what you’re thinking: another bakery and more cupcakes. What will set them apart are the many different things they’ll be offering.

The décor is fun and uplifting, making you feel happy the moment you step in. Inside you’ll find the bakery counter filled with cupcakes and some merchandise, but if you peer beyond, you will find several large party rooms. You can reserve a room there for special occasions such as a child’s birthday party, bridal shower, or any other meeting or event. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and you will receive full service. Soon they will also be acquiring their wine license and will be hosting a “Girls Night Out” event on Friday evenings with wine and hors d’oeuvres.

With most bakeries, everything is made fresh in the morning then sits in cases all day until sold, but not here. They bake a little at a time, all day long, so everything is extremely fresh. At the end of the day, whatever is left makes a trip over to Winchester Medical Center to be donated. They make over 20 different flavors which have catchy names such as “the Shenandoah,” which is strawberry with a champagne buttercream.  You can try “the Jubal Early”: pineapple with coconut buttercream. And then there is my favorite, “the Valley Pike”: almond cake with a ganache-filled center and chocolate buttercream.

Bridget Jeziorowski has had many years of training and was head pastry chef in several upscale hotels before settling in Winchester and joining the Cohen team. She is very creative and experiments with new flavors regularly, so you never know what she will come up with next.

They have other ideas to incorporate, but I don’t want to spoil them. I will say this: visit them once in a while, and soon you will know where they got their name and what it means!
